The Ship
Experience Bergen and fjord sailing on a Viking-style ship! Aboard you will admire Viking ship construction and smell the aromas of ancient wood preservation methods. Rigged with a square sail and built clinker-style, with overlapping wooden planks, the ship represents Norwegian ship design and building techniques that can be traced right back to the Viking-era. This more modern version comes equipped with an engine and the latest safety equipment, meaning you can enjoy cruising Viking-style safely and in a variety of weather conditions. Viking ships are famously stable and the fjord is generally very calm, meaning seasickness onboard is extremely rare. So, take a trip back in time and join us for an unforgettable experience.

The 1.5 Hour Tour
1.5-hour tours depart daily from Bryggen, the UNESCO World Heritage Wharf in Bergen center.
Feel the exhilaration of the square sail pulling you along Bergen’s beautiful waterfront. Take part in the sailing or chill out on a bean bag and enjoy the ride! Use our fishing rods and catch mackerel, there are millions of fish in the fjord. Tours are varied and educational in nature. The route will be dictated by wind conditions, but regardless of the weather, guests are guaranteed an authentic and interactive sailing experience and the chance to absorb Bergen’s historic waterfront from a truly unique perspective.
